Stewards of God's Creation

Miriam didn’t just prepared programs, but they also implanted rules that will prevent the cause of global warming like the no smoking policy. This policy is implemented in the whole Miriam College. People like guardians, security guards, and school personnels are strictly prohibited to smoke. Besides this, they implemented the water and power conservation policy.

Because of these policies and programs, the students of Miriam have been practicing these policies since CSC. Miriam College as a catholic school has been teaching on how we can be stewards of God’s creation and with their help, we Filipinos can reenact what they have been doing since before. We should a role model for the future generations. For we are the co-creators of God’s creation.

There are some programs and events that Miriam College celebrates like the “Environment Week”. The students of Miriam participated in various activities that will develop the students’ appreciation for the environment such as the Trashion Show. The Trashion Show is an event in which the Grade 8 students will make and design a costume out of recycled materials like sacks and newspapers.

Miriam College has been an educational institution for young women since 1953. They expose their students to numerous activities that will develop the four core values they learn from Miriam. They are the best example in exposing their students in taking care of the environment through the core value-“integrity of creation."

Because of the task God has given us, Miriam implemented a proper way of segregating trash. They made programs to enrich their students about the importance of the environment and how to be able to do the task God has given us.
